January is Sanctity of Human Life Month, and this year we are contemplating the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade and nearly half a century of legalized child murder.
We want to do everything in our power to see the beginning of the END OF ABORTION in America before Roe turns 50. To this end, we are growing the Life Legal family and have developed several new pro-life initiatives. Here are our three top projects for 2022 and beyond:
Life Legal recently “adopted” California Right to Life under our umbrella to expand our educational outreach. CA Right to Life trains pro-life advocacy teams to present accurate information about abortion, especially to teens and young adults. Our teams go to university campuses, shopping centers, health fairs, public sidewalks – anywhere we can set up a table – and engage people in meaningful conversations about abortion. Of course, CA Right to Life is also active on social media, but we have found that nothing can replace the personal connection that comes from face-to-face engagement. This allows us to reach a younger demographic that has been programmed by Planned Parenthood to normalize abortion.
Life Legal is geo-targeting abortion-minded women through cutting edge digital marketing. In this initiative, we are partnering with pregnancy centers to let women know that – contrary to Planned Parenthood’s advertising efforts – abortion is not “easy” or “safe.” We are also targeting women who may have been injured by abortion and providing them with free legal consultations and representation.
Life Legal is stepping up our legal challenges to laws that threaten human life. We recently filed two lawsuits in California to strike down laws that suppress pro-life speech. We won a major victory last month when a federal judge ruled to block a law that criminalized such pro-life activity as holding signs, counseling, and distributing leaflets on public sidewalks outside Planned Parenthood and other abortion mills.
Life Legal is collaborating with like-minded organizations to intervene in cases involving the denial of life-sustaining care. The removal of food and water and other ordinary care from patients without their consent has reached epidemic proportions. Our task force is comprised of attorneys, medical ethicists, health care providers, and patient advocates who work together to save lives. We are also preparing legislation to prohibit torturing and killing patients by dehydration and starvation.
We are excited about these initiatives and we hope you are too! At the same time, we continue to provide legal representation to pro-lifers around the country who are being threatened and even assaulted for their pro-life witness. Last year, we received more legal inquiries than ever before, and, because of your faithful support, we can meet this increased demand.
As you may be aware, Life Legal does not participate in any “Giving Tuesday” fundraising events because of the Giving Tuesday Foundation’s deep ties to the abortion industry. In addition to losing out on donations, we have received no small amount of pushback for our decision, even from some of our pro-life colleagues. But we stand by our convictions. And now we ask that you would stand with us as a partner to protect children in the womb and other vulnerable people under the threat of death.
We are so grateful for your generosity that…
- Provides expert legal representation to pro-lifers on the front lines;
- Trains pro-life advocates to engage people who would otherwise never hear the truth about abortion;
- Helps shut down abortionists through malpractice lawsuits and other legal actions;
- Challenges anti-life laws and policies and supports life-affirming legislation;
- Saves lives through intervention on behalf of people who are denied life-sustaining medical care;
- And so much more!
All of us at Life Legal thank you for your commitment to LIFE and to ending the abortion holocaust.
