An abortion mill “deathscort” drove her car into a gentleman who took part in a prayer vigil outside an infamous Mississippi abortion clinic, knocking the pro-lifer to the ground. Mark, the pro-lifer, suffered serious injuries and is currently recovering. The deathscort had been driving around the abortion mill, blaring her horn and playing loud music to disrupt the prayer vigil. When Mark walked over to her car to ask her to stop, the deathscort turned into him, knocking Mark off his feet.
Local law enforcement declined to charge the deathscort for injuring Mark, even though she clearly intended to run into him.
Life Legal affiliate attorneys filed a civil lawsuit against the deathscort, the abortionist, and the abortion mill, which is Jackson Women’s Health Organization (JWHO). JWHO was the last abortion clinic in Mississippi, operating out of a bubble gum colored building known as “the pink house.” In 2018, JWHO challenged Mississippi’s 15 week abortion ban, which resulted in the Supreme Court’s recent decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization in which the Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Mississippi has a “trigger law” that criminalizes abortion with narrow exceptions for rape and medical conditions that threaten the lives of pregnant mothers. The trigger law went into effect on July 6 and JWHO has allegedly closed its doors, although its website still advertises abortion services. The abortion mill is planning to continue killing babies in New Mexico under the name “Pink House West.” Abortion is permitted throughout pregnancy in New Mexico.
Please pray for Mark’s recovery and for our attorneys as the case proceeds.
