After receiving a crushing blow in the Ken Scott case back in January, the U.S. Department of Justice has now dismissed all allegations against Scott. Scott is a peaceful prolife advocate who hands out literature and counsels women on the public sidewalks outside abortion clinics. “The charges against Scott, like a flurry of other charges the Justice Department recently has brought against pro-lifers all over the country, were fundamentally flawed and repugnant to the United States Constitution,” said Peter Breen, Scott’s attorney. The free speech rights of all pro-life advocates have been vindicated by this decision. Scott will resume his peaceful sidewalk counseling ministry without fear of further persecution.
