STUDENTS FOR LIFE OF AMERICA LAUNCHES ABORTION WARNING LABEL PETITION TO FDA

ARLINGTON, Virginia, June 24, 2011—In response to Monday’s announcement by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) that graphic images and new warning labels are required to appear on cigarette packages by October 2012, Students for Life of America has launched a coalition effort to encourage the FDA to include graphic images and warning labels at abortion facilities and mandate that these be displayed and given to patients before beginning all abortion procedures.

SFLA has designed and is promoting a petition for supporters to sign that will be sent to the FDA. The petition can be found at abortionwarninglabel.com

SFLA and co-sponsors of this petition are promoting it on social media sites, blog posts, and press releases.

Co-sponsors of the petition include Catholic Coalition of New Mexico, Dr. Gerard Nadal, International Right to Life Federation, Life Coalition International, Life Issues Institute, Life Legal Defense Foundation, One More Soul, Operation Rescue, Pro-Life Nation, The Radiance Foundation, Students for Life of Illinois, and Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust.
