“Some of us don’t ever get over it.”

On Tuesday, July 28, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) released the first episode of its documentary web series, “Human Capital.” In the video, a former employee of PP “tissue procurement” partner, StemExpress, LLC, tells all.

The new CMP video centers on an interview of Holly O’Donnell,  a 24-year-old licensed phlebotomist and former procurement technician of Planned Parenthood (PP) partner, StemExpress, LLC. In 2012, she answered an innocuous Craigslist job advertisement for a phlebotomist only to discover after being hired something her employer never previously told her; her job would not be solely to draw blood from donors, it would require her to dissect the bodies of aborted infants on-location at Northern California PP abortion clinics.

Holly’s recounting of the actual functioning of PP’s harvesting operation fully corroborates the profit motive and inference of illegality that should be drawn from top PP abortionists caught on tape by CMP. Her statements also bring into stark relief the fact while PP profits, its dependent, “procurement” partners–some of whom supply government researchers with aborted baby parts—appear to be making out like bandits. A bewildered public is left to wonder, how is this legal?

But Holly’s sincere account transcends legality and goes right to the heart of conscience. She tells how she was caught unaware when, on her first day in a PP clinic, her trainer instructed her to take a pair of tweezers, grasp the leg of an aborted infant, and repeat back “this is a leg.” She did as she was told. She needed the job. That’s when she felt the “death and pain” of the infant and she passed out. She woke up in a recovery bed at the clinic, and a PP nurse tried to reassure her, saying, “Don’t worry it still happens to a bunch of us…. Some of us don’t ever get over it.”

Even PP employees lose consciousness and never get “over it” when faced with reality of abortion and the peculiar exploitation of harvesting the body parts of those PP has killed for profit. Yet, according to PP President Cecile Richards’ breathless defense of the organization on ABC-TV This Week with George Stephanopoulos, pro-life advocates are the “militant” “extremists” who should be prosecuted in the courts, and persecuted in the culture.

If you watch CMP’s first episode of “Human Capital” you will see what Holly O’Donnell could not get over. The video shows Vice President and Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains in Denver, Dr. Savita Ginde, standing over a dissected, aborted infant, opining that a “per-item” payment schema to PP “works a little better, just because we can see how much we can get out of it.” Is that not extreme?

The sad reality is that PP is an enormously wealthy and politically influential organization. PP’s calls to prosecute and persecute those whose only crime is exposing the truth may well be answered. Life Legal Defense Foundation exists to support these pro-life advocates in their primary work and defend them when they are attacked.
