SAVE HYDE. SAVE LIVES.

The Hyde Amendment was first adopted in 1976 to prohibit the use of federal taxpayer money to pay for abortion on demand. Hyde is not a law as such, but rather is a special provision included in annual spending bills funding the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). This provision has kept billions of dollars out of abortionists’ bloody pockets, saving millions of lives.

The majority of Americans are against federal funding for abortions, which is why the Hyde Amendment has always enjoyed strong bipartisan support in the House and Senate. Even pro-abortion politicians didn’t believe taxpayers should be compelled to violate their consciences by paying for the killing of innocent human beings.

Planned Parenthood and its abortion allies have lobbied for years to eliminate Hyde and FORCE YOU to subsidize their murderous enterprise. In 2020, Planned Parenthood’s super PAC spent over $45 million to get abortion extremists elected in Congress – and the White House.

That investment is paying off.

For the first time in over 40 years, House Democrats are advancing an HHS funding bill that does not include the Hyde Amendment. President Biden, who once vigorously opposed federal funding for abortion, capitulated to the abortion lobby and has promised to eliminate Hyde.

Please contact your Member of Congress and Senators, as well as President Biden, TODAY to let them know you want the Hyde Amendment to be part of any bill that includes funding for HHS.

Your communication can be as simple as the following:

I urge you to restore the Hyde Amendment and other pro-life language to HHS spending bills. Do not force your constituents to violate their consciences by subsidizing the killing of innocent human beings.

Thank you for taking the time to intervene on behalf of the most vulnerable among us – helpless babies in the womb.

“I am not the least embarrassed to say that I believe one day each of us will be called upon to render an account for what we have done, and maybe more importantly, what we fail to do in our lifetime, and while I believe in a merciful God, I believe in a just God, and I would be terrified at the thought of having to explain at the final judgment why I stood unmoved while Herod’s slaughter of the innocents was being reenacted here in my own country.”

~ Congressman Henry Hyde, Author of the Hyde Amendment
