4f56ad7db547b.imageJohn R. Streett graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1976 with a Bachelor’s degree in Government and History. He received his law degree from Lincoln Law School in 1981.

After graduating, he was employed by a firm which primarily specialized in representing municipalities and engaging in civil litigation. In 1985, Mr. Streett opened his own law office in Novato, where he emphasizes civil litigation and estate planning.

Mr. Streett has been active in pro-life work in Marin County since 1976. In 1989, when Life Legal Defense Foundation was formed, he became its President, and remained in that position for almost 20 years. Now he serves as Chairman of the Board. He has personally represented pro-life clients in civil actions where there have been accusations of trespass and harassment of abortion clinic clientele and doctors. The most prominent of such cases was Planned Parenthood of Vallejo v. Williams, which was twice argued before the California Supreme Court. Mr. Streett was lead counsel in LLDF’s fight with the IRS to obtain tax-exempt status, which was granted in 1997.

In 1984, Mr. Streett married Mimi Hallett. They have five children and reside in Novato, California.
