Abortion Is Health Care (Except When It’s Not)

Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, and other pro-abortion organizations are currently pushing legislation in California that would allow non-physicians to perform first trimester surgical abortions. The theory is that California, with one of the highest abortion rates in the country, nonetheless suffers from an acute shortage of abortion providers. Current California law making it a crime for non-physicians to perform abortions is thus a “barrier to access” to abortion and must be eliminated. [more]

Mark Your Calendars: 2012 LLDF Annual Benefit

This year, the annual Benefit will start with a “mini-conference” at 3:30 p.m. LLDF staff will present an update on active cases and projects. At 5:00 p.m., participants may attend the regularly-scheduled Mass at Our Lady of Peace Church. Dinner will begin at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $60/person. Reservations may be made with LLDF office (707-224-6675).
