Life Legal Defense Foundation Applauds Presidential Veto of Federal Funding for Embryonic Stem Cell Research

Proving once again to be a man of his word, President Bush has vetoed the bill which would fund embryonic stem cell research using federal tax dollars. With his veto President Bush has set the standard – all human life is precious. At least at the federal level, those who believe in the sanctity of human life will not be forced to fund research that exploits human life and the women whose health is put at risk by donating eggs for what LLDF believes to be questionable and unethical research. For more information on health risks to women visit http://www.handsoffourovaries.com.  We also encourage you to attend our seminar on November 9, 2007 in the Oakland, California area, Trading on the Female Body, which will be sponsored by LLDF and the Center for Bioethics and Culture.  More information will be available and posted on our website soon.
